How to Help
You might have found yourself falling in love with this species. Now that you know spider monkeys do not make easy pets, you may still want to find a way to support them. Well, here’s how:
Swing Free Alliance is a completely self-funded alliance, but we encourage you to support reputable non-profit rescues, non-profit sanctuaries, or AZA-accredited zoos. Supporting accredited organizations helps guarantee long-term and accountable care for smuggled spider monkeys.
Below you will find some organizations that we fully believe in. These organizations are held to rigorous standards that exceed basic USDA licensing requirements. We know these organizations would love any support you decide to give them.
01
Gulf Coast Primate Sanctuary is a USDA Licensed, Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Monkey Sanctuary located in a Peaceful community in South Mississippi. Gulf Coast Primate Sanctuary aims to provide permanent life time care for New World Monkeys in need.
02
Primarily Primates, Inc. (PPI) is a not-for-profit animal sanctuary in Bexar County, Texas, providing permanent, lifetime care and housing for rescued animals, mostly primates.
03
Gladys Porter Zoo is a zoological and botanical park located in Brownsville, Texas.
